Idea Montagna 'Ski Wild Appennino' is a ski mountaineering guide dedicated to the Apennines, which can be domestic but also wild, and on its slopes one can find, in the winter season, different ways of expression: from long hikes in pristine valleys, to steep couloirs, to breathtaking descents where the only problem is 'skiing'...
By now, everyone knows everything about the Alps and all kinds of books have been written about them; there are few lines still to be climbed and descended, few opportunities to find oneself in perfect solitude facing an excursion. In the Apennines it is different, the mountains still reserve some truly wild areas where man has never or almost never set foot and the walls often offer lines just waiting for someone to go and discover them; this was the great privilege that the Apennines were able to offer the author: the chance to search for his own lines and to find his own descents.

"Adventure, in my opinion, knows no altitude! One can engage with the mountains at 8000 metres as well as at 2000 metres, everyone can find their own dimension and explore the terrain they prefer and in which they feel at home; adventure is a state of mind that is born and grows within each of us if rightly nurtured with motivations, projects, objectives, a desire to challenge themselves and improve their physical, technical and mental level. I think we all owe a debt of gratitude to the mountains back home! For me, the time had simply come to pay it off.

The guidebook takes into consideration 74 routes chosen in the groups of Monte Gomito, Alpe Tre Potenze, Abetone, Val di Luce, Corno alle Scale, Cimone, Libro Aperto, Cima Tauffi, Giovo, Rondinaio, Lago Santo, Monte Cusna, Febbio, Alpe di Vallestrina, Cipolla, Sassofratto Vecchio, Cella, Le Porraie, Castellino, Prado, Cerreto Laghi, Monte Alto, Punta Buffanaro, Monte Casarola, Alpe di Succiso.
