The Aequilibrium Trek GTX by La Sportiva is the men's boot designed to combine protection and support with extreme walkability and freedom of movement, even in the most technical high-altitude passages. Leveraging La Sportiva's know-how and technologies derived from the Mountaineering world, this model represents the perfect compromise between technicality and comfort for those facing long and challenging trekking and backpacking. The upper is made of 1.6 mm Hydro-Perwanger® leather, water-repellent and abrasion-resistant, which molds to the foot's ergonomics, while the GORE-TEX Performance Comfort membrane ensures dry and ventilated feet even in extreme weather conditions. A smooth roll and natural support are guaranteed by the innovative Double Heel™ construction, whose highly pronounced dual rear lug geometry increases braking effect on descents and reduces muscle fatigue. Safety on uneven terrain is entrusted to the 3D Flex System Evo™ with a shaped and protected ankle joint, allowing for better control of the foot placement and perfect ankle mobility. The midsole, equipped with internal inserts made of expanded material for greater cushioning and lightness, is protected by an anti-abrasion TPU film, while the reinforced fabric edging protects the boot from impacts. To ensure maximum traction on ascents and control during descents, the Vibram® rubber outsole utilizes the Impact Brake System™ technology with 5 mm lugs, and is fully resoleable to extend the product's lifespan.
