Kong HMS Classic Screw Sleeve climbing carabiner mountaineering
Kong HMS Screw Sleeve is a lightweight alloy carabiner equipped with a screw sleeve and Keylock system. Ideal for climbing, mountaineering, and caving, it is excellent for securing your climbing partner and can be used with any anchoring and belaying system that is positioned at a stop or connected to your harness. The wide HMS base allows you to create a boat knot or half boat knot, and the Keylock system prevents any snagging with the rope and the bolt. The screw closure makes it suitable for professional use as well. In caving, it is used as a bag holder.
The Kong brand has a centuries-old history: Giuseppe Bonaiti founded it in 1830. Kong specializes in the production of climbing hardware and has introduced technological innovations such as the D-shaped carabiner, cold forging of aluminum, and the key-lock closure system of the carabiner.
