Description
La Sportiva Akyra II GTX is a men's trail running shoe, waterproof with a Gore-Tex membrane that keeps your foot dry at all times. It is designed for longer endurance courses such as Ultra Trails and Ultra Marathons in the winter months, making it excellent for prolonged use on all off-road terrains. This shoe is very comfortable thanks to various features present in the upper, made with three layers. The first is an AirMesh Ultra Comfort that provides, indeed, comfort in fit. Then we find a thermoadhesive microfiber application, MicroLite Skeleton, which gives flexibility to the shoe while maintaining its shape over time. Finally, on the outermost part, there are additional microfiber applications (Flex-Guard) that protect the shoe from abrasions against rocks and branches while keeping the shoe light without weighing it down too much. Akyra is a shoe equipped with unprecedented stability provided by the TrailCage System. This is placed between two layers of the upper and connects to the lacing system, giving structure to the shoe and a very enveloping fit. Finally, the sole is a Fixion XT compound with an Impact Brake System to improve cushioning and a Trail Rocker system to facilitate the classic rolling of the foot during running.
