La Sportiva Testarossa climbing shoes
The La Sportiva Testarossa, revised version of 2019, is a climbing shoe suitable for all those climbers who make precision their main weapon.
In this shoe, La Sportiva has used a mix of synthetic and natural materials to make the shoe more durable over time. The toe and heel areas feature a leather lining inside, while the central part is unlined. This increases breathability without compromising the precision that a lined shoe provides.
The heel has been completely redesigned, with a much more modern construction compared to the previous version, and is entirely covered with very soft rubber. This benefits heel hooking but especially improves the entire shoe!
The lacing system is asymmetrical so that everyone can tighten or loosen the shoes as they see fit.
As for the sole, being a new generation shoe, we also find the half sole here. This increases the tension level of the shoe and also improves the fit. By doing so, the arch of the foot will be well wrapped, and it will feel like you are wearing a sock!
The rubber compound is the now super famous Vibram XS Grip 2, a soft but not too soft compound that, together with the midsole, offers good support on precise footholds without becoming too rigid.
