La Sportiva Tx4 R is an excellent all-weather approach shoe with a leather upper, super durable and very well structured to withstand both long and short approaches and even ferrata climbs.
The R version has been made in the colours that characterised the golden years of climbing, with the historical logo and a reference to the slogan 'Climbing on the moon'. All this to recall the origins and historicity of the brand.
As for the shoe itself, there are no differences compared to the classic version, so the fit is extremely comfortable and built to last over time: in fact, the materials used make it an indestructible shoe!
Thanks to the STB Control System, comfort is assured and the problem of the foot twisting inside the shoe is also avoided.
The leather upper is also reinforced with an all-around TechLite Pu edge that protects the foot from possible collisions with rocks and trees while walking. The whole is very resistant to wear and abrasion.
The Vibram MegaGrip compound provides excellent grip on both trails and rocky terrain, and there is also a comfortable toe box with a climbing zone.
The shoe is completed by a lacing system derived from the famous Mythos, which allows the internal volumes to be adjusted with a single movement.
