The Mammut 6.0 Glacier Cord Dry glacier cord is designed for ski mountaineers, hikers and crevasse rescue operators.
Glacier Cord Dry has an elongation less than 2%, designed to increase the efficiency of rescue operations and completely eliminate the elastic yo-yo effect when abseiling.
The Dry treatment allows the lanyard not to absorb water and moisture and consequently not to freeze.
The extra-resistant aramid construction of the 6 mm lanyard is designed to ensure high friction during the descent, helping you to stop any fall in the crevasse and keep the risk of abrasion low.
Glacier Cord Dry meets the minimum requirements to be accepted by Tibloc and Micro Traxion devices. The lanyard has an ultra-light weight of only 25 grams per meter and a minimum caliber. Comes with a carrying case that you can use as a launch bag for rappelling.
Warning: this lanyard, perfect for rescue operations on glaciers and abseiling, is not suitable for climbing. For this purpose a dynamic rope is strongly recommended.
