Mammut Barryvox Package Light avalanche kit
Mammut Barryvox Package Light is an avalanche rescue kit designed to lighten as much weight as possible on the shoulders. It contains a Beacon, an avalanche probe and a shovel.
- Barryvox (European version): it is a Beacon, an avalanche transceiver with three antennas that is simple to use but very effective and has a good width of the search strip (70 meters). If you click here you will see the complete description of the product.
- Probe 240 Short, on the other hand, is a small-sized probe with a length of 38 cm, an open 240 cm with a total of seven segments. Its weight is 245 g.
This is an aluminum resitant with an integrated telescopic locking system. It is comfortable and easy to use, also compatible with gloves.
The avalanche probe is an instrument to always have with you, it is quickly interlocked and determines the exact position and depth of the buried subject. This speeds up the rescue system.
The use of a quick tensioning cable at the probe head allows for immediate extraction and extension, while the probe tip is drop-shaped for an energy-saving survey.
- Alugator Light is finally a shovel, the lightest that the Swiss company produces. Its dimensions are very small so you can put it in every backpack, even the little ones. The blade is sharp and tiltable, made of durable and robust aluminum. There are also fixing holes to build an anchor on the snow or a rescue sled.
