The Metolius Freerider is the perfect climbing backpack for a day at the crag. It is constructed from a lighter version of the Durathane™ backpack material. The fabric is double-sided with a bright yellow interior for easy visibility when searching for something in the backpack.
The haul bag style edge adds durability and allows the bag to stand upright for easy access to gear, while the tapered shape makes it easy to carry.
The pocket on the top lid is accessible from both inside and outside the backpack and includes a handy D-ring for attaching important items such as car keys.
The fastening system uses an aluminium buckle, and the lower flap where this fastens forms a concealed pocket for convenient storage of items or climbing guides.
There is also an additional compression strap for attaching an additional load such as a rope or clothing. The Freerider's soft suspension makes long approaches with large loads more bearable.
