Description
The Petzl ABSORBICA is a compact energy absorber designed to be used in conjunction with a JANE lanyard to create a fall arrest lanyard, intended for workers weighing between 60 and 140 kg; in the event of a fall, the progressive tearing of the webbing reduces the stopping force, and the reduced design minimizes bulk on the harness. The absorber is enclosed in a durable fabric case with a simplified opening system to facilitate inspection and protect it from abrasions and impacts. There are two connection modes to the harness: frequent via a carabiner held in place with the STRING or MICRO SWIVEL accessory, or nearly permanent with the RING OPEN or SWIVEL OPEN to prevent twisting.
