Petzl Astro European Version ultra-comfortable harness for rope access

The Petzl Astro harness is designed for rope access technicians. Its design is specific for progression and ascent on rope. The 3D foam padding and the semi-rigid construction of the waist belt and leg loops ensure comfort throughout the workday. The ventral attachment point with hook allows the user to efficiently install the necessary equipment for progression. The integrated Croll L rope clamp improves efficiency in rope ascent. The waist belt features metal side attachment points, tool rings, and tool slots, allowing for organization and transport of all the necessary equipment for a workday. The Doubleback Plus self-locking buckles and quick-release buckles make it easy and comfortable to wear and adjust the harness, even with gloves. Ultra-comfortable construction: the wide shoulder straps reduce friction on the neck, the thin sliding straps offer greater freedom and ease of movement, and all contact areas, including shoulder straps, waist belt, and leg loops, use 3D foam padding covered with breathable material for greater comfort during suspension and throughout the workday. The semi-rigid waist belt and leg loops ensure a great fit and support of the harness. The metal side attachment points can be folded away to prevent accidental snagging when not in use. The elastic straps of the leg loops (replaceable and available as an accessory) maintain the correct adjustment of the harness whether walking or suspended. Includes an aluminum dorsal ring on the shoulder strap/waist belt connection strap. Effectively integrates equipment with the ventral attachment point with hook: connects the Progress Adjust or the Jane lanyard directly to the attachment point pin without a connector. The Croll L ventral rope clamp is directly connected to the ventral point for greater efficiency and freedom of movement during rope ascent. Connect a Podium or Litepod work harness to the attachment point pin so that the load is supported directly by the descender, maintaining mobility at the ventral point. Comfortable adjustment system: the shoulder straps have a quick-release buckle on the left for easy donning and doffing, and a Doubleback self-locking buckle on the right with a non-slip device for easy adjustments that do not loosen. The waist belt is equipped with Doubleback Plus self-locking buckles and non-slip devices can be inserted (included but not installed). The anodized aluminum Doubleback Plus buckles remain easy to adjust throughout the life of the harness. The leg loops are equipped with quick-release buckles that fasten and unfasten quickly and easily, even with gloves, without the need for further adjustments. Easy to carry and organize equipment: the shoulder straps are equipped with an adjustable Velcro strap that can be positioned high or low and on the left or right to hold an Asap'Sorber energy absorber. It is possible to add a fall protection lanyard connector parking on the shoulders (available as an accessory). The belt is equipped with two foldable metal side attachment points to connect a positioning lanyard in double mode.
