Petzl Chicane additional brake for mechanical prusik
The Petzl Chicane is an additional brake for the ZigZag mechanical Prusik, designed for tree work and single rope progression.
The Chicane is useful for achieving greater slowing down during descent, providing additional and permanent braking action.
When combined with the ZigZag mechanical Prusik (click here to view the product), it ensures smooth rope movement upwards through the brake. Installing the rope through the movable flange is really simple and quick.
The Chicane features an ergonomic handle that facilitates movement during the return to the trunk.
It is used with a Petzl Am'D or OK carabiner (not included) to pair with the ZigZag.
