The Petzl Jag System recovery kit is designed for rescue work at height and has various uses. It can be useful for creating a releasable mobile anchor, tensioning a system, or freeing an injured person.
The Jag System consists of two double pulleys, Jag and Jag Traxion, both on bearings, one of which is locking, two Am'D triact lock carabiners, and a flexible sheath to protect the 8 mm cord. Thanks to the 4:1 mechanical advantage and the excellent performance of the pulleys on sealed ball bearings, the user's effort will be divided by four.
The hoist is available in three lengths: 1, 2, and 5 meters. This allows you to use the kit even if the distance from the anchor is short.
You can also pair the kit with an I'D descender to create a reversible rescue kit to free and evacuate an injured person.
Warning: The Jag System is not a PPE and must always be used in combination with a fall protection device.
