Description
The RAD system from Petzl is an ultra-lightweight and compact kit designed for skiers engaged in crevasse rescue, rappelling, or glacier belaying to navigate crevasse areas. The kit includes 30 meters of 6 mm RAD LINE rope, three Sm'D SCREW-LOCK carabiners, a TIBLOC descender, a NANO TRAXION progress-capture pulley, a 120 cm ST'ANNEAU sling, and a gear bag. Weighing only 970 grams, the RAD system is ideal for off-piste skiers looking for a minimal yet effective solution for emergency situations. The RAD LINE rope is hyperstatic with less than 2% elongation, providing excellent grip and control during descents and fall arrests. The compact design allows for easy attachment to a harness or backpack, ensuring readiness for various alpine challenges.
