Petzl Meteor climbing and mountaineering helmet
Petzl Meteor is a lightweight and compact helmet, equipped with large openings for excellent ventilation, designed to accompany climbs throughout the year. The In-Mold construction features an inner shell made of injected EPS foam under a thin polycarbonate shell, a solution that promotes compactness and lightness. The weight is 235 g in size S/M and 245 g in size M/L.
The enveloping shape contributes to extended protection over the entire head and is designed according to Petzl's TOP AND SIDE PROTECTION brand, to provide coverage against lateral, frontal, and rear impacts. It is suitable for climbers and climbers, and the OMEGA headband features a marked opening that facilitates the passage of long hair tied in a ponytail. The semi-rigid headband allows for easy adjustment even with gloves and can be inserted inside the helmet for easier storage and transport. The chin strap is equipped with a minimal buckle with a locking cover to limit accidental loosening.
The helmet is compatible with a headlamp thanks to two front hooks and a rear elastic fastening. The comfort padding and buckle are available as spare parts to extend its lifespan. 18% of the helmet is made from bio-based or recycled materials.
Available sizes are S/M for head circumference 52–59 cm and M/L for head circumference 57–61 cm. This helmet does not meet the requirements of the EN 18100:2024 standard for ski mountaineering helmets.
