Petzl Paso Guide 7.7 mm half rope climbing mountaineering
Petzl Paso Guide 7.7 mm is a half rope that allows for various uses in climbing and mountaineering.
The diameter of 7.7 mm makes it extremely lightweight (40 g/m) and suitable for use as a twin or double rope. The treatments that Petzl applies to this rope are the best you can find on the market. The great innovation is the UIAA Guide Dry waterproof treatment, which impregnates both the core and the sheath of the rope, making it ultra-resistant to water, dirt, and abrasion. Thanks to this, the Volta Guide has a water absorption of less than 2% according to UIAA tests.
The other important treatment it undergoes is Everflex, the thermal treatment that stabilizes the strands of the rope and makes it soft and compact to the touch, allowing for a very effective grip that lasts a long time. The rope is equipped with a Middle Mark that indicates the halfway point of its length. The Paso Guide is suitable for intensive use in all typical mountain environments, including rock, ice, and snow, for both climbing and more classic mountaineering.
