Petzl Reverso belay device climbing
Petzl Reverso is the updated version of 2019 of the famous Reverso 4. A belay/rappel device that takes into account the increasingly thinner diameters of the ropes used. In fact, for single ropes, it accommodates diameters from 8.5 mm, while for half ropes from 6.9 mm.
The design has also been improved, now more rounded, which facilitates the sliding of the rope without damaging it too much over time.
As for the modes of use, they remain the same: it can be used for belaying in the classic technique with two hands on the rope, but it can also be used for double rope descents or to belay one or two seconds for long routes thanks to the Reverso method.
Additionally, there is a release hole that allows you to give slack with a carabiner when the device is under tension.
