The Chiper Europe by Raumer, with a 10 mm hole, is a new and original anchor for climbing and canyoning consisting of a ring with a wire closure that makes it very similar to a carabiner. It is fixed perpendicular to the wall so that it can also serve as a belay point for rappelling. To secure it, it is advisable to use a Hang Fix type bolt of 10 mm, such as items 157 and 150. WARNING: the anchor should always be used in pairs, so that the rope always passes through two carabiners to ensure double safety. This method also helps to reduce rope twisting. WARNING: This anchor is in Marina version, further resistant to corrosion due to agents present near marine environments. The company Raumer performs a treatment for marine stainless steel divided into three phases: Solubilization - Pickling - Passivation. The icon of a stylized fish with the word INOX inside distinguishes this anchor from its normal version. At the bottom, you will find information about the technology used for this type of products. Raumer is a company based in Schio, in the province of Vicenza, specialized in the production of hardware for various sports: climbing, mountaineering, canyoning, and caving. The company was founded in 1992 by Cesare Raumer, the owner. He has been able to combine his deep passion for the mountains, nature, and caving with mechanical technology. The strong point has always been the use of AISI 304 stainless steel in the production of anchors. Currently, following continuous experiences and acquired knowledge, AISI 316L stainless steel, which is even more resistant to abrasion, is used. Raumer is therefore synonymous with quality, safety, and above all MADE IN ITALY: the entire production takes place in the Vicenza plant.
