The Wing Inox from Raumer, with a diameter of 12 mm, is a plate specifically designed for speleology: the direction of the ring ensures that the carabiner is in an operational position perpendicular to the rock surface. This results in high performance when force is applied downwards. This plate allows for rope retrieval in top-rope situations from both sides.
WARNING: This plate is made of AISI 316L stainless steel, but is also available in marine version, which is further resistant to corrosion caused by agents present in marine environments. Raumer implements a three-phase treatment for marine stainless steel: Solubilization - Pickling - Passivation. The icon of a stylized fish with the word INOX inside distinguishes the marine line from its standard version. Below you will find information about the technology used for this type of products.
Raumer is a company based in Schio, in the province of Vicenza, specialized in the production of hardware for various sports: climbing, mountaineering, canyoning, speleology. The company was founded in 1992 by Cesare Raumer, the owner. He combined his deep passion for mountains, nature, and speleology with mechanical technology. The strong point has always been the use of AISI 304 stainless steel in the production of anchors. Currently, in response to ongoing experiences and acquired knowledge, AISI 316L stainless steel is used, which is even more resistant to abrasion. Raumer is therefore synonymous with quality, safety, and above all MADE IN ITALY: the entire production takes place in the Vicenza plant.
