SCARPA Mago are iconic climbing shoes that for years have been accompanying the best climbers in the most difficult ascents. This new version features innovative materials and further perfected technologies that refine the potential of this liner, improving its performance.
The very asymmetrical shape and arched downwards concentrates the power on the big toe, allowing you a high precision even on the smallest supports. All this is enhanced thanks to the TPS insert combined with the X-Tension system. The first consists of a thermoformed insert positioned under the toe area that allows a better anatomical adaptation to the shape of your foot. The X-Tension instead is a midsole present in the central area of the foot that adapts to it, adhering perfectly both during loading and unloading, allowing better power transmission.
The new upper combines in a studied way different elastic inserts in perforated microfibre, supported by a triple-layer microfibre base. Combined with the lace-up lacing system it offers an optimal fit and great comfort. In the big toe area there is a very comfortable insert in Alcantara.
The heel has also been improved, integrating PAF technology that allows better distribution of force, while improving fit and sensitivity. A significant detail that greatly improves comfort is the use of a softer rubber in the tensioning system in the Achilles tendon area. The sole is a guarantee: Vibram XS Grip2, the best in terms of grip on all types of terrain.
