Description
The Ypsilon by Skylotec is an asymmetric strap made of robust 16 mm polyamide, designed as a versatile positioning system in two lengths of 30 cm and 60 cm. This technical tool is ideal for precisely managing the ascent and descent phases on a rope, significantly facilitating the passage of fractions thanks to the double loop. A distinctive feature is the innovative ring with a registered design, specifically developed to ease the construction of the special knot for connecting to the harness, ensuring a consistently correct position. In mountaineering, caving, and canyoning, the Ypsilon proves to be a versatile ally for self-belay at a stop, preparing for double rope descent, and ascending on rope. It is essential to remember that, despite its robustness, this system is intended solely for positioning and static maneuvers: it should not be used as a via ferrata kit or as a fall arrest device, contexts in which partner rope belaying is always necessary.
