Versante Sud Civetta – South Side explores the southern slopes of the Civetta, among the Dolomites, characterized by easier access but imposing vertical walls, such as the 700 meters of the Torre Trieste and the 1100 meters of the Busazza ridge. The Cantoni of Pelsa and Busazza form a maze of spires and ridges that, although visually unified, differ in extension and altitude. Climbing offers routes on good rock with natural protections, but there are also difficult paths, fragile sectors, and challenging walls over 1000 meters.
The author, Manrico Dell’Agnola (1959), climber and photographer, has climbed in Italy and abroad, while maintaining a deep connection with the Dolomites. Today he lives in Mel as a creative, writer, and member of the C.A.I. Academy, continuing to devote himself to climbing.
