Versante Sud Solo Granito Vol. 1 climbing guide

Versante Sud Solo Granito Vol. 1 has established itself over the years as the essential reference for those climbing in the valleys of upper Val Masino. Therefore, ten years after the launch of Solo Granito, it was time for a third edition of this guide. In recent years, there has been much excitement in the world of mountaineering. This has led not only to the creation but also to the rediscovery of many routes of varying difficulties, from the standard to the more challenging ascents of the Central Alps, included in this new guide. The division of the different areas has been revised in light of the publication of other guides in this series that cover such zones, allowing for a more in-depth look at the entire Val Masino. The volume is completed with images and reflections on the history and the climbers who have written it. Luca Schiera started climbing as a child with his father on the slabs of Val di Mello. It was in these mountains that he grew as a mountaineer, carrying out much of his vertical activity here, where, after many years of exploration, he continues to find ground (and rock) that fuels his curiosity. Since 2013, he has been part of the Gruppo Ragni della Grignetta and dedicates much of his energy to discovering remote and little-known mountains, especially in Patagonia. The search for adventures has led him to climb in many corners of the world, although he still considers his home mountains the most beautiful.
